"I think I’d most like to spend a day with Harry. I’d take him out for a meal and apologize for everything I’ve put him through." J.K Rowling.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was released seven years ago - July 21, 2007.
I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT WAS 7 YEARS AGO!
Narcissa Malfoy is the only known member of Voldemort’s inner circle not to have taken the Dark Mark. First and foremost a mother, she was ruthless in doing whatever it took to keep her family together; maintaining her status while her husband was imprisoned in Azkaban and later becoming only the third person known to have deceived The Dark Lord. Narcissa was calm where her sister was crazed, restrained where her husband was reckless and self-assured where her son aimed to prove himself. Narcissa knew what mattered most and was a key factor in Harry Potter’s survival and Voldemort’s demise.
Narcissa Malfoy is the Head Bitch In Charge.

June 26, 1997: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Published.
The Harry Potter series is officially 17 years old today.
This is from tonight’s WWOHP webcast but I like to imagine it’s actually a bunch of witches and wizards strolling about Diagon Alley during its grand reopening after the war. Everyone’s chatting happily and snacking on sweets from Sugarplum’s or ice cream from Florean Fortescue’s, business is booming at Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, and the air is completely free of pretense and anxiety; everyone can finally just breathe and enjoy the atmosphere, because Voldemort is a distant memory and the pieces left to pick up are few and far between.
